For all the mamas out there who have never tried baby-wearing. Oh my goodness. You should totally give it a whirl.

I have two kiddos, a four-year-old and an almost-ten-month-old. When I had my first child, I never “wore” her. Not even once. I literally cannot think of one time where I used a wrap, sling, baby carrier, anything of the like. First of all, I didn’t really know how to use one, and secondly, I just didn’t know the amazingness I was missing out on.

Then came my little guy. And that was the moment I realized I needed to learn to baby-wear. Life gets quite a bit busier when a second (or third, or so on) child comes into the picture.

So I did my research, as I always do. I read reviews on countless types of baby-wearing items. Even tried a few different ones! When I came across this amazing Mustard Linen Ring Sling by Hope Carried($75), I was hooked! It is so beautiful, and my baby absolutely loves it. So does my older child, for that matter, because she doesn’t have to miss out on my attention since my hands are free to tend to her!

What I love about using this awesome ring sling is that I can have my cake and eat it too. Figuratively, of course. I get to snuggle up super close to my squishy little guy, but I can also accomplish things throughout the day that I could not do otherwise. Since my hands are free, I can freely do light house cleaning, go for short walks without dragging out the stroller, shop with ease, or play at the park with my older kiddo while wearing my younger one.

It’s also helpful during the various growth-spurts and milestones that babies and young toddlers go through which can sometimes leave them a little cranky and a whole lotta clingy. Without the baby-wearer, there are definitely times where I can literally get nothing accomplished because my little one is demanding some snuggle time with mommy. And while I don’t give up all of my sweet couch snuggles with him, it is certainly helpful to have another solution when there are pressing tasks at hand in the meantime.

What I really love about the ring sling is that it takes the guess work out of making sure it is secure. The instructions were super simple. It took a few tries to get it adjusted just perfectly to my liking, but once I figured it out, it was very comfortable and very secure.

The best part about it is that my little guy loves it. He absolutely loves being super cozy to his mama (or daddy) as much as possible. So if it’s a winner in his book, it’s definitely a winner in mine!

About  Hope Carried:

I’m Brea Albulov, mom of two and founder of Hope Carried. I live in Ann Arbor, MI with my husband, a social worker, and our two young children.

From the start of my company in 2015, I have always been committed to having a positive social change through my passion of helping moms. Hope Carried was born out of a love for baby wearing and desire to build a community that supports families and empowers women. By working with different organizations such as Jewish Family Services and Freedom House, I have come in contact with many women who have demonstrated a desire to contribute to their family financially. However, due to extenuating circumstances, such as lack of education or cultural restrictions, they are unable to find stable employment. I teach them how to make Hope Carried Wraps & Ring and am able to provide employment through this.

Baby wearing is the best! It’s the only way I can really get stuff done around the house.
