“Your passion will lead you to your purpose.”

That was it. The photo quote that made me realize that I should be doing what I love. Yes, a Pinterest quote opened my eyes to such a big reality.

After high school, I was a bit clueless as to what God’s purpose for my life was. Although it was my job at the time, I couldn’t see myself working in an attorney’s office as a legal assistant for the rest of my life. I knew God had created me with creativity for a purpose but I couldn’t just see what was right in front of me.

I had been doing photography for about a year and a half. Each year I learned more and more, I grew, inquiries increased. But still, that was only something I did on the side because there was no way I would be able to financially sustain myself off of what I only did on my free time.

But His plans for me were much bigger.

I had a love for photography and it was what I wanted to do, but couldn’t trust that I would be able to make a living doing something I love. It took me getting terminated at my job for me to say, “OK God” I know this is what you want me doing, I’m going to take a leap of faith and get into photography full time.

I have a love for people and capturing them in their naturalness. A painter expressing themselves through art, a photographer capturing others, a mother fulfilling her ministry as a mom, a family having beautiful moments together.

Today, I realize I can do what I love, not what I think I’m suppose to do or what I’m told I have to be in order to be successful. Use your creativity to fulfill God’s purpose in your life! To be a blessing to others! To do what you love and do lot’s of it! <3

If money wasn’t an issue, I would love to take my pictures in Cartagena, Colombia (Where I am from). I have been following Maddy since I saw the pictures of her house in a Facebook group and I fell in love with her work. Well done Maddy! I love seeing your pictures and your journey with your baby girl. Your story truly inspired me, as I am in the same situation. Lost in my current job and with no purpose. I love art and love to create, but I have no idea how to start to make a living as an interior decorator. I hope I win the mini session. Many blessings.

I would love a session with Mady to capture the love and fun our family has together. Our little boy just turned one and capturing these moments is so important because they change so fast.
