Now that I’m a mommy of small children, my go-to daily attire has changed a bit.

Gone are the days of super high pumps, and restrictive clothing. Well, for now anyway.

In this season of life, I have to keep things simple. That’s because I’m in the daily trenches of mommyhood. So I’m up, I’m down, I’m changing diapers, loading car seats, sweeping, mopping, washing seven thousand sinks of dishes, and folding just as many baskets of laundry.

Whether a working-mommy, a stay-at-home-mommy, a work-from-home-mommy, or whatever unique case of mommyland we find ourselves in, there are a few little tricks I’ve put into practice to try and keep my wardrobe fresh, but functional!

My biggest trick of the trade is flowy shirts. I’m on the taller side, so sometimes I’ll grab something that was probably meant to be an adorable little dress for some gorgeous gal with flaunt-worth legs, and I’ll pair it with, say, a pair of my favorite tapered jeans. This gives me plenty or room to “breathe” but also maintains the cuteness factor. You can also just browse the racks for shirts that will do the trick as well! Thankfully, flowy is in these days! And I couldn’t be happier about that! You’ll surely find this style trick easy to incorporate.

Depending on your whereabouts each day (or what is required at your job), you might also find it helpful to put into the rotation, a staple that I use all the time…jeans and a solid white tee. Sounds easy enough, right? This is a great thing to keep handy because you can throw any cute jacket, cardigan, sweater, or even chambray button-up shirt on over top of it.

When accessorizing, I like to choose a favorite piece to jazz things up a bit. The bracelet I’ve chosen here is perfect way to spruce up my keep-it-simple top. The vibrant colors of the Spectrum Bracelet (38.00) are the perfect pop against the solid top, and it makes my whole outfit come together like a charm.

To make things even better, it’s from the Noonday Collection with Diane Williams. I am in LOVE with everything they make as their jewelry is unique, handmade and develops businesses through fair trade. The impact flows into places like HaitiGuatemalaVietnamEthiopia, and so many others! Ahh! I just love that they are so amazing (Scroll below for extra info + enter our giveaway)!

As far as shoes are concerned, I’d say revert to functionality. If you’ll be sitting at a desk all day while your kiddos are at school, go for those heals if you like! If you’re chasing your kids around at a park, go for some comfy flats. And if you’d like something in-between, a small wedge heal is great for comfort.

Well there you have it! Simple style tips for mamas.

And of course I couldn’t possibly end this post without reminding you that YOU are simply amazing in your own unique way. So much so that you should embrace your amazing uniqueness and create your own spin on a style that works for you!

Look out world… here you come!!
